Training of Extension Officials to Promote Biodiversity Positive Attributable Schemes in Telangana
About the Project
Mainstreaming Biodiversity in Telangana’s Agriculture
A Capacity Building Initiative
AgHub Foundation, in partnership with UNDP, is training frontline extension officials to integrate biodiversity into Telangana’s agricultural schemes.
The project is implemented under UNDP’s global Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN), with support from the Centre for Innovations in Public Systems (CIPS) and the Telangana State Biodiversity Board (TSBDB).
Pilot Districts: Medak and Sangareddy, Telangana
Why This Matters
Contributes to BIOFIN’s Finance Solution 1: Enhancing Resources through Mainstreaming Biodiversity in Public Finance
Supports India’s National Biodiversity Target 18: Repurposing harmful incentives and scaling up positive incentives for conservation
Ensures public finance in agriculture actively supports biodiversity conservation and sustainable use
