The basic premise of Bootstrapping is that “it is process of building a business from scratch without attracting investment or with minimal external capital. It is a way to finance small businesses by purchasing and using resources at the innovator’s expense, without sharing equity or borrowing debt capital from banks”. Through the approval and sanction of RBIC, NABARD has sanctioned a dedicated head of bootstrapping fund at AgHub, PJTSAU. This grant assistance is helpful for the early-stage ideas/ Pos/ startups of entrepreneurs, innovators, student entrepreneurs and rural entrepreneurs. The focus areas for supporting innovations under Bootstrap assistance of NABARD are Food & Agriculture & allied sectors, Agritech, Biotech, Agribusinesses. This is in tune with Vision and Mission of AgHub and aligns with its mandate
